Dining Out with DMWS

Our December Dining Out with DMWS event is hosted by PDQ at 3301 Watkins Road
Durham 27707. This will be a drive-thru or dine-in  event on December 15th from 5-8 pm. Mention DMWS when you pay and our school will get a portion of the proceeds.

Kindergarten Virtual Open House

Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Noon*

DMWS will hold an Open House for parents to learn more about DMWS kindergarten. There will be an opportunity to see the classroom, speak with the lead teacher, and ask questions. Please call the office at 919-688-5130 or send an email to julieallen@dmws.org to attend virtually. You will be sent the link prior to the open house.

 

Dining Out with DMWS

This month’s Dining Out with DMWS event is Tuesday, November 17th at The Original Q Shack, Duke Memorial Weekday School will receive 5% of the day’s sales.

Go grab a great meal at the The Original Q Shack for lunch or dinner and help DMWS! The restaurant is open 11am until 8pm on the 17th.

Our next Dining Out will be at Jersey Mike’s on MLK Parkway on October 21 for all day! 50% of all sales (when DMWS is mentioned) will be donated back to our school.

Schedule a Virtual Tour of DMWS

We are still enrolling students for the 2020-2021 School Year. At this time we are scheduling virtual tours of Duke Memorial Weekday School for our Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten programs. Reach out to us by email or call the office, 919-688-5130,  to schedule a tour of DMWS.

DMWS Canned Food Drive for Urban Ministries

Many thanks for supporting the DMWS Canned Food Drive in February. Urban Ministries of Durham was very grateful for the 334 food items we delivered for distribution through their food pantry. The children enjoyed lining the hallways with food and talking about helping our neighbors. We were also able to sneak in some math connections!

 

DMWS Canned Food Drive

Each February, Duke Memorial Weekday School sponsors a canned food drive to support the Food Pantry at Urban Ministries of Durham. This year, students may bring in canned food items between Feb. 10 and Feb 21. We will line the hallway with the donations and students will be able to use the cans for math activities before we bag them to be donated. Students love seeing the items fill the hallway. Thanks for your support!

Dining Out with DMWS

Our next Dining Out with DMWS opportunity is January 21 at Pop’s Backdoor Pizza, located at 3710 Shannon Rd, Durham, NC 27707.  The time is 5:00 pm till close.  Pop’s Backdoor Pizza will donate 10% of the entire sale ( Dine in, Carry out, Delivery ).

Our February Dining Out with DMWS event is scheduled for February 3rd at Chipotle, at 2608 Erwin Rd Ste 144 in Durham on Monday, February 3rd between 4:00pm and 8:00pm. Bring in this flyer, show it on your smartphone or tell the cashier you’re supporting the cause to make sure that 33% of the proceeds will be donated to Duke Memorial Weekday School.
