Duke Memorial Weekday School has limited space available in our program for the 2025-2026 School Year. For classes that are currently full, DMWS maintains a waitlist. Dining Out with DMWS at the Q Shack

Mark your calendar for March 26! Join your DMWS friends at the Original Q Shack for a delicious fundraising event. Visit the restaurant anytime between 4 and 8 pm and be sure to mention Duke Memorial Weekday School when you order and our school will receive a portion of the sale!

 

Canned Food Drive for Urban Ministries – Thank You!

Many thanks for participating in our annual canned food drive. DMWS delivered 502 non-perishable items to Urban Ministries of Durham Food Pantry on Friday, February 14. This is our highest total ever! Before the delivery, the children lined our hallway with cans. In addition to sorting activities, they counted, investigated weight, and compared sizes!

 

Canned Food Drive for Urban Ministries

Each February, DMWS sponsors a canned food drive to support the Food Pantry at Urban Ministries of Durham. This year, students may bring in canned food items between Feb. 3 and Feb 14. We will line the hallway with the donations and students will be able to use the cans for math activities before we bag them to be donated. The children love seeing the items fill the hallway. Last year we collected 457 nonperishable items- wonder if we can surpass that number this year? Thanks for your support!

 

Dining Out with DMWS

We would like to thank Pop’s Backdoor and Tutti Fruitti for hosting our Dining Out with DMWS on February 5th.

We are looking forward to a second Dining Out with DMWS event this month with Lakewood Social hosting us on February 26th! We hope you can come out and support Duke Memorial Weekday School while enjoying a great meal!

DMWS Pasta Dinner

Mark your calendars for the Duke Memorial Weekday School Pasta Dinner, February 2nd.

Entertainment will start at 5:00 pm and dinner will be ready by 5:30 pm.

$7 per plate for dining in or there is a take-out option for $25 per family.

Be sure to mention DMWS and present the flyer at the time of purchase. They are donating 50% of sales to our school.
